An elemental cooking & wellness retreat
Join us for this rare and beautiful week—a chance to reconnect with nature, gather in community, awaken your wild self, and explore elemental cooking, returning home with new skills, a renewed spark for life, and a deeper connection to conscious living
Cade McConnell is the cook behind Om Cade - a plant-based catering business operating in the Byron Bay Shire.
Cade was raised in a small coastal town on Worimi Country, Forster Tuncurry. His upbringing seeded a deep appreciation for the wild aliveness of the Australian land and sea.
His travels to the Indian subcontinent gifted him a connection to Yoga and Vipassana meditation, which have become dedicated practices in his life. Cade's approach to cooking is an extension of his spiritual practice, a creative and devotional avenue. He uses organic and local market ingredients and cooks in clay pots using unprocessed whole foods.
Through his cookbook, catering and workshops, he hopes to inspire others to relate to food and life with reverence, as part of a collective contribution to a more peaceful and harmonious world.

What people said…
This book is a work of art, beautifully written and the recipes are inspiring. After feeling a bit burnt out in the kitchen, ‘Plants, Clay & Fire’ has helped me re-ignite my passion. Especially keen to get into those dosas!

This book is pure art. We were grateful to have Cade prepare our meals on our retreat last year. To east Cade’s food is to truly experience being nourished.

I’ve been cooking so many recipes from Cade’s book. Everyone who has picked it up is so fascinated by it and connects to it instantly. I am loving the journey of cooking from it so much, it resonates with the way my mum cooked whilst I was growing up. Slowly, in clay with food from our garden. Thank you Cade
